Your comments on East of Eden were a great company to me while I read it in the end of 2024 (that's how I found you), TYSM❤️ hope 2025 turns out to be a even greater year, I'll be reading you monthly.
aaah please read it! My edition was an old Faber & Faber - 'T.S. Eliot's Collected Poems'. It's pretty and did the job, but I don't know if it's the best, I wish I could find an annotated edition
Thank you for your interesting and insightful thoughts on the novel, I hope I’ll get round to reading it! I’m currently studying the literary history of the USSR, and indeed Bulgakov was heavily censored. As well as “The Master and Margarita”, his theatrical rendition of the novel “The White Guard”, whilst initially being palatable to Stalin, was afterwards censored.

this is so kind 🥹 thank you so much! I hope you have a great year of books ahead 💌
Btw, I can’t wait to read “Four Quartets”!! Which edition did you read, and would you recommend it?

Oh ok! Thanks! ♡ I’ve seen the recent Faber & Faber edition, and if it’s annotated I think I’ll go with that one
